Burn Beeswax

I started making beeswax candles a few years back and feel the need to share all its glory with the world.

When burned, beeswax acts as an air purifier by emitting negative ions.  If you're not quite sure what an ion is, its an atom that has either a positive or negative electrical charge created by chemical or physical means.

For example, nature provides negative ions by effects of water, air, and sunlight whereas positive ions are created by harmful elements in the air like dust, pet dander, pollution, and other chemicals.

To break it down further, negative ions neutralize positive ions, cleansing the air of all those nasty pollutants we breathe.  Suffer from allergies or asthma?  Beeswax candles might be the answer for you.

Notice the comparison between...

Beeswax vs. Paraffin

o    Natural ionizer - cleans the air by emitting negative ions (ion technology in air purifiers)
o    Hypoallergenic - allergies/asthma
o    Smells like delicious honey and floral nectar
o    Environmentally friendly/no chemical processing/biodegradable
o    High melting point resulting in 2-5x longer burn time

o    Derived from petroleum, coal, or oil shale (harmful to environment)
o    Toxic to breathe
o    Contains artificial dyes and fragrances
o    Less expensive/more harmful
o    Lead core wicks
o    Releases carcinogenic soot (respiratory illness, etc)
